MineTexture Open Editor

Changelog

What changed on MineTexture, newest first.

  1. Faster, easier to read pages

    • Screenshots on the features, 3D models and rooms pages download at the size your screen needs, so they load up to ten times lighter on phones, and the page no longer jumps as they arrive.
    • The comparison table keeps its row names in view while you scroll it sideways on a phone.
    • Screen reader and keyboard fixes: named buttons in the home page tour on phones, a labelled colour palette in the skin editor, and code samples in the guides you can scroll with the keyboard.
    • Guides now carry article and breadcrumb data for search engines, and the home page describes MineTexture as a free web app.
  2. Gallery, skin editor, templates and guides

    • A skin editor: paint a skin on a 3D player or the flat layout, with classic or slim arms, and download the PNG.
    • New guides: making a resource pack, animating textures with .mcmeta, and CustomModelData.
    • This changelog and a comparison with Blockbench and image editors.
    • A community gallery: publish a pack with screenshots after verifying your email (no account needed), and download packs others shared.
    • Starter templates: flat colour blocks, pastel blocks and dark buttons, built in your browser and opened in the editor.
    • A notice in the editor on phones and tablets, and a FAQ answer about commercial use and servers.
    • Link previews and search results now use the minetexture.xyz address, and the site has a sitemap.
  3. New home page

    • A scroll tour that unfolds a block into its textures, recolours, paints and animates it.
    • A small texture editor you can try on the home page, using the game’s real textures.
    • Shared header and footer across all pages.
  4. CustomModelData and Auto Animate

    • Custom model data items with their own textures and 3D models.
    • Auto Animate generates animation frames from a list of effects.
    • Fixes for importing existing packs and models.
