Image to pixel art
Turn a photo or drawing into a Minecraft-style texture. Pick a size and a number of colours, then download the PNG and use it in the editor. Your image stays on this device: it is converted in your browser and never uploaded.
No picture handy?
Using it in the editor
- Open the editor, open your pack and click the texture you want to change.
- Choose File → Replace Texture from PNG… and pick the file you downloaded. To keep the old texture underneath, use File → Import Image as Layer… instead.
- Or click Copy image here and press Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac) in the editor. The image is placed as a selection you can move, like File → Place Image….
Vanilla block and item textures are 16×16. A 32×32 or 64×64 texture works too, but every texture in the pack should use the same scale or they look mismatched next to each other. If you paste or place an image bigger than the texture open in the editor, the editor scales it down to fit. File names in a pack can only use lowercase letters, numbers and underscores, so the download is named that way.
